What is PinPortal?

PinPortal is a WordPress plugin for bowling centers. After league night the secretary exports the usual data file from their league software, and PinPortal turns it into the center's website: team standings, weekly scores, high game and high series boards, handicaps, rosters, lane assignments and a profile page for every bowler.

It handles bowling properly rather than treating a league like a generic two team sport. Handicaps, three game series, position rounds, absentee and vacancy scores and substitutes are all understood.

Beyond publishing, Pro adds online league registration with waiting lists and team building, dues tracking with receipts and past due reminders, printable branded standing sheets with QR codes, 1080p TV score boards, and browser based digital signage for the screens above the lanes.

The difference from the hosted alternatives is where the data lives. Standings sit on the center's own domain, in the center's own WordPress database, as real indexable pages rather than a PDF, an image, or a profile on somebody else's platform. Bowlers are never asked to pay to see their own scores.
