What is PhoneFerry?

PhoneFerry is a native Mac app for moving files between an Android phone and a Mac. It replaces Google's Android File Transfer, which is no longer offered on Google's Android download page.

Plug in a USB cable or connect over your own Wi-Fi. Your camera roll opens as thumbnails, you can preview photos and videos before copying, browse every folder on the phone, and send files back to the phone.

  • Wi-Fi transfer through Android wireless debugging (Android 11 or later)
  • Photo and video thumbnails, preview before copy

  • Automatic import and backup when the phone connects
  • Cancel any transfer at any time; nothing on the phone is deleted unless you ask, and only after a verified copy
