I'm the developer — I got tired of cleaners that scream "3,847 problems!" and hide what they delete.
PersonalCleaner does the opposite: Scan → Review → Decide → Clean.
Free, open-source (MIT, one Python file you can audit), 100% local — zero network calls.
What it does (free):
- Catch frozen apps (Not Responding / HIGH MEM 400MB / HIGH CPU 20%) and close safely (BLOCKLIST protected)
- Free up RAM (purge standby list, real before/after)
- Clean junk (User temp, Windows temp, WER, Recycle Bin — only >24h, only known folders, Preview first)
- Startup manager (Enable/Disable, Task Manager method, reversible)
- Restart Explorer, Tray like Laragon (Close hides to ^), 960x620 window with splash
Pro (same exe, offline key, 1 PC / 1 year, no subscription):
Background upkeep (10-min idle + daily --auto silently), Weekly idle restart, Defender exclusions, Service tuning.
Honest: Portable (no installer), no scare count, VirusTotal 56/57 clean (1 Bkav false positive for PyInstaller), SmartScreen "Run anyway" once (not signed yet).
