What is Peon?
Peon is an open-source, self-hostable alternative to Vercel that gives developers a simple deployment experience while keeping applications on servers they own.
Deploy applications from GitHub, GitLab, or any Git source with Git push deployments. Peon supports Next.js, Node.js, Python, Go, Rails, PHP, Docker, Docker Compose, static sites, and more.
Peon handles HTTPS, custom domains, Docker, databases, environment variables, deployment logs, health checks, backups, rollbacks, scheduled tasks, and automated deployments.
Unlike Vercel, Peon lets you run your applications on your own infrastructure. Connect servers from Hetzner, DigitalOcean, AWS, OVH, Contabo, bare metal, or any Linux server accessible over SSH.
Peon also includes team features such as workspaces, project-level roles, permissions, and audit logs. Its built-in MCP server lets AI tools such as Cursor and Claude interact with deployments and infrastructure using the same permissions as your Peon account.
You can self-host Peon completely free, or use Peon Cloud for $3 per project per month while your applications continue running on your own servers.
Peon is built for developers who want the simplicity of Vercel without giving up control of their infrastructure.
