Crops pdf. You can view a semi-transparent stack of all pages, and decide where to crop without cutting off contents. If your original has scans of face-to-face pages of a book, PDF Scissors can slice them apart. You can cut margins and also scale the pages to standard size.

This program is a bit nicer than Briss, but it has issue. It's Java, and the developer's website essentially tries to get you to run it online (using an internet connection). The security certificate has expired, so Java warns you that if could kill your computer and everything you hold dear. One alternative is to just download the .jar file from here:
http://www.pdfscissors.com/pdfscissors.jar
I'm not sure what version this is, but it has the nice property of being self-contained. However, you still need an up-to-date version of Java installed.
I'm still looking for a nice, free PDF cropper on Window without any problems....
