PDCA Wizard

PDCA Wizard walks a small team through one improvement cycle at a time, following the Toyota approach to Plan, Do, Check, Act, and builds the A3 report as you go. It is aimed at owners and managers of businesses with five to fifty people who have operational problems to solve and no quality department or Lean consultant.

The nine-section cycle covers Background, Clarify the problem, Break it down, Target, Actions to date, Root cause, Countermeasures, Check and Act. Rather than a blank form, it asks the next question: the problem breakdown must weight to 100 percent before you move on, a countermeasure needs a verified cause, and Check compares the metric to the target before anything is standardised.

Every published iteration is kept and exported as a print-ready A3 PDF. Paid plans put your own logo and colour on the A3; the Organisation plan adds roles, seats, shared team cycles and an approvals workflow. Healthcare teams can run the cycle as PDSA.
