Path of Exile is not just a great free game. Path of Exile is a great game. Yes, it is completely free with micropayments, but the micropayments do not interfere or accelerate game advancement. I don't know how profitable it will be for the developers however, it has zero effect on gameplay and that is what is important in a free to play game.
Path of Exile gets its primary influence from Diablo but you only have to see the skill tree to know that it doesn't stop at being Diablo influenced, it has its on improvements to the genre. The game has full voice acting which does help to solidify how solid the game is.
§ Pros
• The game runs smoothly on a 2012 CPU and 2013 GPU at maximum settings.
§ Cons
• Too much loot. Too much. It's everywhere. Whether this is due to the acquisition of New Zealand developer Grinding Gear Games by Chinese publisher Tencent, or something else - I don't know. But in any case, it spoils the game a lot. • The game is declared as an MMO (Massively Multiplayer). In reality, it is not, because the maximum number of team members of six people is not a world filled with hundreds and thousands of players, like, for example, in "The Elder Scrolls Online" or "World of Warcraft". • The camera looks at the character too close to the vertical, and is too low. Because of this, upgrading long-range weapons and ranged spells seems questionable - unlike melee weapons. • Very small inventory, items in which cannot be rotated 90 degrees. Because of this, even small locations have to be cleared in several stages, or some of the items have to be left behind. Which is inconvenient due to the lack of an indicator of the value of the item. • The world is not seamless, it consists of separate locations connected by portals. • Incomplete translation into Russian. In particular, not all voice lines are translated (not all provided with subtitles or interface notifications). • No sorting or filtering of the inventory.
the Best! no P2W - frequent updates - Version 2.0 is coming

I have played this game off & on many years. Starting out I had over 40 accounts as mules then I got sick of trying to figure out what I put where & having to contact GGG every time I got confused with what email account had what account on it. They were pretty awesome always in helping me though, but later on I did the better option & just starting buying stash tabs here & there. I have some where near 40 tabs now between normal ones & the special ones for currency & so on. The skill tree can be a bit challenging if your like me & do not want to use other peoples builds. The upside though is if you have any patience you can just wait till they give the option to reset your talent tree which they do once in a while. My highest level achieved is 80, and my 2nd highest is 77. I am a hoarder from hell, waste not want not! But I will be honest I am not the best with prices, trade, or gearing up. I do however mostly play alone & I did make it to 80! I know the game has a much higher cap now which I will most likely never see anything other 80 because its my luck I die the 4-5 times it takes to remove all your played experience once you die in the higher difficulties. I love the game, but I am not good at it by any means lol. I would how ever recommend it to anyone looking for a good true Free to Play, and not a wanna be Free to Play, but instead Pay to Win like a lot of your so called Free to Play games now days. Its one of few that doesn't give any unfair advantages. The only thing some might think unfair is the paid stash tabs but you can have as many accounts as you need so long as your not breaking the rules or annoying people.
So yeah i would recommend this game to anyone interested in giving it an honest chance. Its 100% free so you really have nothing to loose but a little time & bandwidth in downloading & the space to install it. Like it? AWESOME! Don't like it, hey what have you lost?
I just wish they port it over linux one day. But they need more support.
I'm enjoying this game very much! Plus its FREE!!!
