What is Pastebin.com?
The website is mainly used by programmers to store pieces of sources code or configuration information, but anyone is more than welcome to paste any type of text. The idea behind the site is to make it more convenient for people to share large amounts of text online.

Comments and Reviews
Many places discourage using pastebin since it has many ads, some of which may direct to malicious pages.
I have not used pastebin because when I first visited, I saw a list of public posts and they were all entirely spam. I appreciate that I only have a free user but I don't want to have look at this nonsense.
I did look into upgrading to a "pro" account but they claim they are "sold out".
I reported one of the spam posts but their reporting system is cumbersome (I have to provide my name and respond to a capcha, not just a clicky) and I imagine they aren't giving my attention to reports from free users.
Despite the negative comments on here, I've never had an issue with PasteBin -- I think it's great -- does everything it says on the tin, and it's free! Also allows 0.5MB per paste, which is awesome.
512 kilobytes per paste...
It might be the oldest and known, but lacks features which nowadays are a must: ban ip, ban words, phishing protection (google safe, phishtank), request and so on. And became with time a "dark web". You could also mention pastebin.de. Has everything of the above.
Cheers, Alex
