much much more stable than teamviewer or splashtop (that one's almost dead apparently) with android
Parallels Access is a great program which puts your Mac or Windows desktop on your iPad. Install it on your PC and iPad, connect and ready to go. I put it on my Win 8 LT and had my DT on the iPad in less than 10 min after download! The Mac version costs $80/yr and the WIN version is now free, in beta but will eventually cost the same. There is a trial period also before you decide to pay.. No VPN to configure, just download and go.
