PandaVid is a video editor that runs in the browser, with nothing to install. It works on Windows, macOS, Linux and ChromeOS; Chrome and Edge are the most reliable for exporting.
The editor uses a desktop-style multi-track timeline: video and overlay lanes, separate lanes for titles, captions, voiceover and music, trimming, splitting, ripple edits, transitions, animated titles, LUT-based colour filters and a free template library. Rendering happens in your own browser rather than in a render queue, and exports are MP4 with no watermark, no intro or outro branding, and no reduced free-plan resolution (1080p included).
Alongside the editor there is a set of free tools that need no account and upload nothing: automatic captions and video-to-text with SRT export, audio transcription, SRT/VTT conversion, text to speech with downloadable WAV, a voice recorder, 2x AI upscalers for images, video and anime, MOV/WebM to MP4 and MP4 to MP3 conversion, compression to a target size (for example 10 MB for Discord), trimming without re-encoding, resizing for social formats, a collage maker and a slideshow maker. Speech recognition and upscaling run locally in the browser, on your own hardware.
A free account is needed for the editor so projects can be saved and picked up on another machine. Every editing feature is included in the free tier; the optional Pandavid Pro plan ($4.99/month) only adds cloud storage (50 GB instead of 2 GB).
