OwnSlides

OwnSlides is a language learning platform built around speaking and being corrected, rather than only recognition.

An AI tutor handles conversation by text or voice, adapting to the learner's level and giving grammar corrections and session scorecards. Pronunciation practice records you and scores accuracy, fluency and completeness word by word, so instead of "you're hard to understand" you can see exactly which word was wrong.

Alongside the AI there is live practice with real people: blind-matched voice calls with other learners, and scheduled audio rooms you can join or host. Audio only, no video, no profile browsing.

Vocabulary works as a spaced repetition system that builds itself. Any word met anywhere in the app, in the dictionary, the translator or mid-conversation with the tutor, saves in one tap and returns for review in flashcard, typing or spoken form.

91 languages are supported, with CEFR-aligned curriculum and study plans, a community dictionary and a translator.

For teachers, OwnSlides generates full lessons from a prompt, including vocabulary, grammar and exercises, and exports them as narrated video or image slideshows sized for TikTok, Reels and YouTube Shorts. Lessons can also stay private and be assigned to specific students with completion and accuracy tracking.
