What is orbutton?

orbutton turns a pasted YouTube playlist or list of individual video links into a continuous, DJ-style mix. It plays everything through YouTube's own official embedded player and adds one thing YouTube itself doesn't offer at any subscription tier: adjustable crossfade — you choose the exact percentage of the current track where the next one fades in, plus how long the fade lasts.

Features: adjustable crossfade point and fade length, shuffle, independent repeat-all/repeat-one, drag-and-drop queue reordering, sleep timer, and automatic detection of region-locked or embed-disabled tracks with a one-click search for a working replacement.

How it works: paste a YouTube playlist URL (needs a free YouTube Data API key) or individual video links (no key required) to build your queue. No account, no install required — runs as an installable Progressive Web App or straight in the browser. No server-side data storage; everything lives in your own browser.

What it's built on: only YouTube's official, documented IFrame Player API and Data API v3 — no scraping, no private endpoints, no downloading or extracting audio/video. Free, with no ads of its own.
