What is OpenRA?
OpenRA is an open-source reimplementation of Westwood’s 
Command & Conquer Red Alert game engine, updated to use the hardware acceleration of modern video cards using OpenGL.
Going beyond the mere implementation, however, OpenRA has become a project with mods which allow players to hearken back to the defining days of the RTS genre and reprise Tiberian Dawn (the original "Command & Conquer") and Dune 2000 as well.
