    It's not a commercial product... so far as software is concerned - BUT and it's a big one, it needs some fairly beefy hardware to run on. OpenMediaVault is far from perfect (hence needs an alternative) but it runs on things like a Raspberry Pi 3.

    FreeNAS needs a big Intel machine, oooodles of RAM, RAID (ideally) and it goes on. Hardly a free solution if you factor in all the costs!
