What is OpenAsar?
OpenAsar is a modified version of Discord's desktop code, aimed at enhancing speed, customization, and theming. It improves startup times, making them about twice as fast as the original, and potentially four times faster with an experimental setup. OpenAsar also enhances client performance, making scrolling and channel switching more responsive. It offers an easy theming option for your splash, compatible with most client modification themes. Installation and uninstallation are simple, requiring only a single file replacement. OpenAsar introduces various configuration options for Discord and its own enhancements. Despite its features, OpenAsar is lightweight, representing less than 1% of Discord's original size, reducing from 9MB to approximately 50KB. It also removes Discord's built-in crash and error tracking within the asar, without affecting the app itself.
