What is Nullroom?
Our architecture is Zero-Knowledge - we do not have the technical capability to access your conversations.
Our Privacy Philosophy At nullroom.io, our mission is to provide a "volatile space" for conversation without a digital footprint. We believe that privacy is not just about hiding data - it is about the intentional non-existence of data. Everything is ephemeral.
Harvest Now, Decrypt Later (HNDL) In the modern era of encrypted messaging, adversaries with long-term goals use storage capabilities to record encrypted traffic and wait until quantum computers are powerful enough to break traditional encryption ("Harvest Now, Decrypt Later").
Nullroom bypasses HNDL completely because there are no servers storing cipher-text. Because our encryption is peer-to-peer and runs entirely in memory until the tab is closed, there is mathematically zero data left behind to be harvested.
Open Source & Transparency Yes, Nullroom is open source. We believe privacy tools must be fully transparent. Don't just trust our claims - read the code or audit the cryptography.
Our entire source code repository, along with verifiable build attestations to prove that what is running matches what is on Github, is openly available: github.com/nullroomio/nullroom.io
