Nimbus Pages

Nimbus Pages is a free, private contact book that keeps itself current. You keep your own card up to date, and the people you're connected with get your changes automatically, only the fields you let them see; you get theirs. Everyone else in your list is still yours: invite them to fix their own info, by an email from Nimbus Pages or a text you send from your own phone, with no account needed.

Your card holds your phones, emails, addresses, birthday, work and more. Each contact sits at a level: Family, Friend, Business or Acquaintance, or a custom level you base on one of them. You choose field by field what each level sees, and anyone you block sees nothing. Private notes on any contact are for your eyes only.

Bring contacts in from Google, Outlook/Office 365, iCloud, or a CSV or vCard file, and review them before anything is saved. Clean-up finds duplicates and likely problems, and nothing merges or deletes until you approve it. Then send the cleaned-up list back to Google, Office 365 and iCloud. Automatic sync is optional and off until you turn it on.

Find people through people you know. Advanced Search shows your own contacts, businesses your connections recommend with their name on it, and connections who may know someone (never who), so you can ask them to share. Search by name, skill, hobby, job title, employer or address, within a distance if you like. You can turn off the "may have one" hint for any contact, or all of them.

Missing a number or address? Ask a contact for up to three things you don't have. Share any card with a member, or by link with someone who isn't on Nimbus. You get a QR code for Family, Friend and Acquaintance, plus one for each company on your card that has a logo, and a lock-screen picture with your code. Businesses get their own company cards, and you can recommend one to your connections.

Also: birthday and anniversary reminders, a Dates calendar, groups, a 30-day Trash, dark mode and adjustable text size.

Free for people, forever. Everyone gets everything, with no tiers or upsells. Businesses pay for labeled Sponsored results in search. Advertisers never receive your personal information, and Nimbus never sells your personal information.

Works in the web browser on your phone or computer, and can be added to your home screen or desktop like an app; there's no app store download. Sign in with Face ID, fingerprint or your device PIN on devices that support it. The website is in English, Spanish and French, and so are the app's main menus and buttons. The business card scanner reads the card on your device; the photo is never uploaded or kept.
