MyOS is probably the easiest way to activate features that were left out by Apple on older devices. I use it to turn on multitasking and homescreen wallpapers on my iPod Touch 2G.

You can enable/disable: -Multitasking -Homescreen wallpapers -Unified iPod -AppStore -Contacts (iPhone only) -HDR (requires camera) -GameCenter (iPhone 3G) -Camera (requires camera) -Voice Control (on supported devices)
