Monghoul information
What is Monghoul?
Monghoul is a desktop MongoDB GUI client for macOS, Windows, and Linux. It features a full Monaco-based query editor with intelligent autocomplete powered by live schema analysis, a visual aggregation pipeline builder with drag-and-drop stage reordering, and six result view modes including an interactive table, tree view, and chart visualization (bar, line, pie, scatter, area, stacked). Monghoul supports all MongoDB authentication methods (SCRAM, X.509, LDAP, Kerberos, AWS IAM), SSH tunneling, replica sets, and SSL/TLS connections. Other highlights include real-time cluster monitoring with sparkline charts and slow query profiling, per-connection write protection, data import/export (JSON, CSV, Excel, NDJSON, cross-instance MongoDB copy), test data generation with Faker.js, inline document editing, collection schema analysis with enum detection, index management with explain plan analysis and ESR-rule index suggestions, a 70+ tool MCP server for AI assistant integration, operation logs with full-text search, a customizable theme system, multi-panel layouts with detachable windows, and a command palette for quick navigation.
Free tier available; Pro unlocks charts, cluster monitor, custom themes, and more.
