At Framasoft, we want to produce Mobilizon: a free-libre software that will allow communities to create their own spaces to publish events, in order to better emancipate themselves from tech giants. We want to develop a digital common, that everyone can make theirs, withrespect for privacy and activism by design.

A good replacement of many social network for you and the Planet.
I wanted this to work. All of my social media interactions are on the Fediverse. A Fediverse-based and Fediverse-integrated events platform would have been perfect for my needs.
Unfortunately, the software is completely unusable. When you sign in, it looks like you haven't. The search feature doesn't work at all. I tried to create an event, but after I filled out the page, the Create Group button didn't work. I tried five different browsers, just in case it was a weird incompatibility.
The software was under consideration for implementation across different academic departments in France. While this software initially demonstrated considerable potential, the extensive and unconventional use of interpuncts (middle dots) with hybrid words, at least in French language, is a significant issue.
The software interface extensively uses middle dots (interpuncts) in its text, particularly in the French language setting. This usage goes beyond a discreet presence, infiltrating almost every aspect of the interface. This is not only unconventional but also potentially problematic for several reasons: being disruption of readability, pedagogical implications, implicit political propaganda, aesthetic concerns and potential technical issues with non standards typographical elements. Until now there is no straightforward way to remove these elements.
