What is Mob?
Mob is an AI-first personal CRM for keeping track of the people in your life. Instead of clicking through forms, you talk to it in natural language through your AI assistant. Mob is built as an MCP (Model Context Protocol) server, so any MCP-capable client can connect over Streamable HTTP and create contacts, log interactions, set reminders, and answer questions like "who haven't I talked to in a while?".
It is not AI-only, though. Mob also ships a full web dashboard and installable PWA for browsing, editing, searching, and importing, plus a public REST API and webhooks for automation. The same data is reachable from your AI, the web, and code, with no lock-in.
Mob captures rich relationship context: contacts with nicknames, pronouns, birthdays, jobs, relationships and family ties, addresses, contact methods, food preferences, tags, and custom fields. On top of that it tracks notes, activities and interaction history, one-off and recurring reminders, tasks, gifts, debts, life events, and per-contact timelines. A dashboard surfaces upcoming birthdays and reminders, a debt summary, an activity streak, and a full audit log of every change.
You can start on the free hosted beta or self-host it yourself with Node.js and SQLite. It is source-available under the Functional Source License (FSL-1.1-MIT), which converts to the MIT License two years after each release.
