What is MindDory?
MindDory is a modern alternative to Anki and Quizlet for people who want long-term vocabulary retention without the setup work.
It keeps what makes Anki effective, a real spaced repetition scheduler that shows each card right before you would forget it, and removes what makes it painful: building every card by hand, configuring decks, and a 2005 interface.
Point your camera at a page of a book, a menu, a screen or a PDF and MindDory extracts only the words you don't already know, then turns those into flashcards. Connect Claude, ChatGPT or any MCP-compatible assistant and vocabulary you meet in conversation becomes cards automatically. It is one of the first vocabulary apps with a native Model Context Protocol server.
New words land inside short AI-generated stories at your CEFR level, and words that refuse to stick get a Memory Cue, a generated visual mnemonic. An interactive Word Map shows your vocabulary as an atlas across more than 38,000 mapped words, so you can see the gaps and pick the next word to learn.
