What is Metis Suite?

Metis Suite is an open-source mail, calendar and drive client. It connects to the accounts you already have (Gmail, Microsoft 365/Outlook, Zoho, IMAP/SMTP, CalDAV, S3, WebDAV, FTP and SFTP) and puts them in one app, with an AI assistant, automations and phishing warnings on top.

  • One merged inbox for several Gmail, Outlook, Zoho and IMAP accounts, with threads, labels, snooze, read later, scheduled and undoable sends, and one-click unsubscribe.
  • Calendar with day, week, month, year and schedule views, event editing and invitations across Google, Outlook, Zoho and CalDAV.
  • Drive for browsing, uploading, searching and previewing files on Google Drive, OneDrive, S3, WebDAV, FTP and SFTP, and for saving mail attachments straight to a drive.
  • An AI assistant that works across all your mailboxes, calendars and drives. You bring your own model (OpenAI, Anthropic or any OpenAI-compatible endpoint, including one you host). AI is off until you turn it on, and the assistant asks before it sends or deletes anything.
  • Visual workflows that run when mail arrives, on a schedule or before a send.
  • A built-in MCP server, so Claude, Cursor, VS Code and other MCP clients can use your mail, calendars and drives.
  • Private by default: remote images and trackers are blocked, stored credentials are encrypted, and two-factor sign-in is required.
  • Workspaces for yourself, a team or a client, each with its own accounts, members and AI settings.

You can self-host it for free under AGPL-3.0 with a one-script Docker install, or use Metis Cloud, where a private instance is run for you. There are desktop apps for Windows, macOS and Linux, and an Android app.
