Comments and Reviews
Media Downloader is a front-end for various download programs. The most prominent is “yt-dlp” for Youtube which is added by default and updated automatically. This is one of the few download programs that works really well. In competition with paid similar software, this one definitely wins. Minimalist, no-nonsense design. Improved versions continue to appear anno 2024, so the user experience keeps getting better.
Easy to understand interface. Serves well as a multipurpose downloading tool. Out of the box, you can use yt-dlp, aria2 and wget. Plugins allow you to add svtplay-dl, gallery-dl, lux, you-get, and safaribooks to the client. Overall, a pretty powerful and useful tool.
