MeCordi - Voice Recorder

The idea behind meCordi app is to introduce a new file format for audio files that not only includes audio but also related photos, comments, speaker names, etc. in a way that when you play it back, it act as it is a high quality slide show with in-sync audio in background. This could change how you use audio files in your daily bases depending on who you are. Here are some example scenarios and use cases.

For example students can use meCordi to record their classroom in much effective way. While recording you can add bookmarks and placeholders in sync with audio timeline. A simple tap on timeline (or pressing Volume button) will add a quick placeholder at that time. You can change who is speaking now. You can add photos, comments, etc.

MeCordi keeps all of these files in sync with each other and as a single optimized file. When you play a mecordi file, it will appears as an slide show with audio in background!

MeCordi app includes all editing functions that you need. You can edit existing markers, replace them, change their timeline, add new markers, etc. You can even change playback speed of each audio segment independently or make it silent or discard it for now. All edits are un-doable until you decide to make them permanent.

Another unique feature is about how meCordi handle optimization. MeCordi support selective compression methods. It means you can decide which part to be compressed more. For example, we usually want to keep the picture of a technical drawing or whiteboard in highest quality while it is OK to apply some compression to audio files or pictures of people, etc. MeCordi is the only format that allows you to do it. The result is a recording with HD video quality with 1 to 50 times smaller file size.

This means you can have a full recording of your sessions with file sizes below 10MB that are easily could be shared by email, social media, in your blog, etc.

MeCordi also includes powerful export and share features. You can share meCordi files as it is or export them as normal audio files and PDF files.

You can also use meCordi's powerful search, folders and tagging features to easily find and organize your files. It can search based on meCordi title, tags, and speaker names.

The way meCordi associates an speaker to each audio segment is also a unique feature. It allows specify who is speaking now during recording or after that. Waveform is color coded based on speaker name.
