It function beatifully as an ebook manager with the ability to sync books between devices.
There is so much going on with this app, from the built-in ocr, to the mindmap features, to the multi search engine research feature. This is truly a one stop shop for any kind of research project. At a price of under $10, Marginnote has actually saved me money, since I don't need multiple apps to do every feature Marginnote 3 has.
