What is Mailhooks?

Mailhooks turns incoming email into structured data your app can use. Use our out of the box domains or point your own domain at Mailhooks, create a hook, and every inbound message is parsed and delivered as JSON — via webhooks, real-time Server-Sent Events, or IMAP.

No SMTP server to run. No polling. Just emails arriving as API events.

Key capabilities:

  • Webhooks, SSE, and IMAP delivery
  • Typescript SDK or CLI.
  • Native integrations with Discord, Notion, and n8n
  • Virtual Inboxes
  • Custom domain support with guided DNS setup
  • Parse email attachments
  • Bring your own storage - S3, Azure Blob Storage and Google Cloud Storage

Popular use cases: reply-by-email for SaaS notifications, E2E test automation, AI agent mailboxes and workflow triggers via webhook or n8n.

Free tier: 100 emails/month, no credit card required.
