What is Magic-Tape?

Magic-Tape is a YouTube client for command line interface with image support and a fuzzy finder. It uses yt-dlp and cURL for downloading data and fzf for making selections. Image support is available through platforms like the kitty terminal, ueberzugpp, ueberzug, and chafa.

Its user interface allows users to navigate videos from subscriptions, explore suggested videos, and view trending content. Users can also search videos using keywords, revisit watched videos, explore content from subscribed channels, view liked videos, repeat selections, and reiterate searches. It enables users to watch or download content in various formats.

Magic-Tape also offers a menu for additional preferences. Users can edit the Preferences file, update the yt-dlp command, like or unlike videos, and sync actions with their YouTube account. It also allows users to import subscriptions, subscribe or unsubscribe from channels, and clear watch/search history, liked videos, and thumbnail cache.
