Local Waifu

Local Waifu is a native macOS application for creating and talking to AI companions that run entirely on your own hardware. Unlike cloud-based companion apps, all conversations, memories, and character data stay on your Mac — nothing is sent to external servers. The app uses Ollama to run language models locally, with a built-in model selection guide that recommends models based on your Mac's RAM.
