What is Livefy?

Livefy is live translation software for church services, conferences, weddings and funerals. It runs in Chrome on a laptop or desktop computer that takes the sound from the mixing board or a microphone. As the preacher speaks, the translation appears word by word as captions on a projector or TV and as a transparent caption layer in OBS Studio, vMix and ProPresenter, so the captions can also be part of a livestream. Guests scan a QR code to follow on their own phones, with no app and no login, choose their language there, and can listen to the translation read by an AI voice in headphones. Livefy covers 60 languages, any of them as the spoken language or a caption language, and a church can run several caption languages at the same time. A Pause button stops translation during songs. Plans are priced by the hour of translation in each language, starting with 10 hours a month on the Church plan, and churches get the first 4 hours free with no credit card. Audio is never stored. Transcripts are kept only if the church turns that on, and can then be downloaded after each service. Like any live translation, Livefy makes mistakes, most often with names, uncommon words and unclear sound, and it is not meant to replace a human interpreter in legal or medical settings.
