Rock solid, flexible, inexpensive cloud hosting with a variety of Linux options. I've been using them for several months for everything from tinkering up to running my own NextCloud instance and I've had zero problems.

Started with Linode a number of years ago to get away from issues at Rackspace. They have gone downhill fast since then. They no longer offer chat support, and I was gobsmacked to find that it is not possible to keep snapshots around without paying to keep the underlying server as well, AND this requires the additional $10 per month backup service. Maybe they started stripping out features after the Akamai purchase? Haven't had any significant downtime or reliability issues though.

Linode was just acquired by Akamai. Long time users expect Linode to change drastically in the medium term.

I have been using Linode for the past few months. They are great they support loads of Linux distros. They are cheap and their support are very friendly although their support will not help you with software issues they will link articles which could help. If you are looking for cheap VPS you can't go wrong with Linode.
