What is LibrisLog?

LibrisLog is a self-hosted, open-source reading tracker designed for readers who want full ownership of their library and reading history. It allows you to organize books into reading lists such as Want to Read, Currently Reading, Read, and Did Not Finish, track page-level reading progress, and view detailed statistics about your reading habits.

Books can be added through integrated searches across multiple metadata providers, by scanning ISBN barcodes directly in the browser, or through manual entry. Existing libraries can be imported from Goodreads exports, generic CSV files with customizable field mappings, or JSON data.

LibrisLog includes reading activity heatmaps, pages-read statistics, author and language insights, progress history, cover management, multi-user support, optional OpenID Connect (OIDC) authentication, and a fully documented REST API for integrations and automation.

The application is designed to be easy to self-host using Docker and stores all data in a SQLite database under your control. Released under the MIT License, LibrisLog provides an alternative to hosted reading platforms for users who value privacy, portability, and long-term access to their data.
