What is Lesskeys?
Lesskeys records, transcribes and dictates on your Mac without sending a single second of audio to a server.
Record any call, meeting or screen — system audio, your microphone, and optionally the screen or a single window — then get a transcript that labels who said what. Speaker diarization runs on-device and remembers voices across recordings, so the same person keeps their name next time. A transcript-synced player jumps you to any moment, and everything you record stays in a searchable local archive on your own disk.
Dictation is system-wide: press a hotkey anywhere, speak, and the text lands on your clipboard to paste into any app. Transcription runs locally on Apple Silicon's GPU using Whisper speech models, so it works offline, in airplane mode, with no account and no cloud round-trip.
Also included: a clipboard manager, text replacements, per-app settings, and SRT/VTT subtitle export.
99 languages with automatic detection, and a choice of Whisper model sizes to trade speed against accuracy.
Free to download. Pro unlocks with a single one-time purchase — no subscription, ever.
Requires an Apple Silicon Mac running macOS 13 or later.
