Loved the software for years. But I'm having the same problem as everyone else. The company has raised their price way too high. Used to be a good option for small business but not anymore. Just read other reviews on this forum and you'll see everyone complaining about the same thing.

What is Lansweeper?
Lansweeper is an agentless Asset Management solution that can scan any network setup. Use IP ranges, set up AD integrated scanning, specify crucial servers to be scanned more regularly … Get a complete inventory of all workstations, servers, routers, switches, monitors, printers, VoIP phones …
A wealth of information on hardware as well as software is scanned and can be used to create reports through the intuitive report editor. Automatically deploy software and run command lines using the integrated deployment feature. Create packages, deploy on grouped or individual assets, configure a schedule and use Wake-on-LAN to set and forget a deployment overnight.
Check the license compliance status of the software inventory using a built-in license compliance tool. Get an estimate on how much it costs to become fully compliant and track down unused licenses. Integrate Active Directory through the automatic import of user and OU information.
Link reports to email alerts by for example setting up a weekly email informing of the toner status of all network printers or get updated on any servers with not enough free disk space left.
Lansweeper is designed to be both intuitive and flexible. The community hosts a wealth of information as well as the possibility to ask fellow IT-pros for advice or help.
Almost anything is possible due to the synergy in between features. Link reports to deployments and schedules, use dynamic asset groups to define which devices need to be scanned more regularly, set product keys and registry values to be scanned and track down which assets are not compliant...
Note: The free version can only scan up to 100 assets, with unlimited users.

We've been using this software for years. Great ultimate tooling product. But now the price has increased outstanding. We had at most like 300 assets and now they wanna charge us for a minimum of 2000. We payed for 500 assets a price of 500 euro. Now they want 2000 euro.
We are looking for a alternative, too bad.
Great Tool to keep up with Assets and network scans BUT this year the price is slightly more than double. 120% more than before. Ridiculous even for big companies like us. Looking for an alternative that is not that arrogant
Rip off.
Used to be great for a fairly small company like ours (around 120 assets give or take, the free one is 100 max), it was around £200 a year and easy to justify. Then last year they changed the licensing model and had a minimum of 500 assets at £500 a year. More than double. And I thought that was taking the p*** as it is, but then this year I looked again and the minimum is 2000 assets at £2000 a year!! Absolute joke. How many customers must they have lost in the smaller company market, surely this kind of greed is just shooting themselves in the foot. Smells like desperation to be honest
I've been using Lansweeper for 7 years. Love the product. That said I'm probably going to be LOOKING ELSEWHERE before my next renewal. For a long time we paid less than $1K a year. Last years renewal was $4K. Great product but we're now paying for things they are developing for other big company's desires and passing it on to us in higher renewals. I was fine with the sub $1K products features. We're a small school district. Our pockets aren't deep. Things shouldn't jump 500% in cost in a year. Great product, POOR pricing and Giles didn't want to work with us. Many companies offer strong discounts to education. Not Lansweeper.
I'm working with Lansweeper for a year now. I kind of inherited it from the previous administrator. Everything was already set up so it took me a while to figure it all out. The amount of information that is retrieved is amazing. Also the available features and functionalities are almost endless. There are a lot of possibilities that are flexible but sometimes require a bit of research. You really should try it out. Once you set it up, you can't work without it anymore.
Lansweeper has been scanning our company's network for some time now. I have to say that it has blown us away. A huge amount of information in a slick overview. No more adfested and sluggish spiceworks for me. The lansweeper tool provides me with a full inventory and record of all hardware, software and product keys. Heck, it gets all changes within our network and upon problems I know just where to look at.
The new deployment feature is a most welcome addition and I don't even need to pay extra, it's included in the price.
2 words: Love IT!
