What is Kvæsitso?
Kvæsitso is a launcher application for Android which replaces the device's default home screen. It has been built from scratch, meaning it is not based on the AOSP launcher (like many other third party launchers) nor does it try to recreate this launcher. Instead, Kvæsitso follows its own concepts.
The main feature is a global search which does not only let you search on device for apps, contacts, and calendar events, but also on web services like Wikipedia or your Nextcloud Instance. Additionally it includes some useful tools, for example a calculator and a unit converter. You are looking for a document or an information? Just search for it and Kvæsitso shows you the fastest way to it.

Criminally underrated launcher! Not only does it look good, it also is very customizable, minimalistic, and material-designed. This may be the only launcher that strikes a perfect balance between all of these. The developer needs more kudos for this.
A great Android launcher that’s all about keeping things simple but super powerful. It was built from scratch (not another AOSP clone). Instead of the usual app folders, it uses tags so you can put apps in multiple categories. The search is awesome, letting you find apps, contacts, calendar events, and web services like Wikipedia or your Nextcloud files. Plus, it has tools like a calculator and unit converter built-in. You can tweak wallpapers, icon layouts, and create custom commands easily. No ads, no bloat, just smooth, minimalist vibes. It’s not on the Play Store, but totally worth sideloading for a fresh, no-nonsense phone feel. I just wish it was more actively maintained, but being FOSS, it's understandable.
The best launcher ever made
Free and open source, fast, manages dual profile phones (work and personal), pleasent though simple.
best FOSS launcher, hands down. possibly the best launcher period. I wish it had support for horizontal widget layouts or pop-up widgets, but it does everything else extremely well that I can't hold that against it
It's very good looking. Almost everything you want... but it's a search based launcher and I want app drawers that I can scroll to the letter. It doesn't provide this. Unfortunatly I'll stay on Niagara. I wish Niagara was free and open source.
I was looking around for a simple minimal launcher instead, but ran into this and was surprised by how interesting this launcher is setup.
Great work from the dev.
