KOTO is a web-based CV builder focused on clean, single-column resumes that are easy for both people and parsing systems to read. It provides an editor for the common sections (contact, summary, experience, education, skills, projects, awards), and keeps the layout intentionally simple: no tables, no multi-column blocks, and no header/footer dependence for key info. That helps reduce common parsing failures, but it does not guarantee success with every ATS.

You can reorder sections, reorder items inside sections, and save named versions as you iterate. A built-in plain-text view lets you preview the exact linear reading order before exporting.

Exports are available in PDF and DOCX once paid access is unlocked. The export format follows the same top-to-bottom structure as the editor, and headings are preserved for clarity. For data portability, you can export and import structured JSON, including JSON Resume format, so you are not locked into a single tool.

Payments are handled through Stripe. The MVP supports a one-time lifetime unlock and an optional time-limited trial plan. Access is granted via webhook confirmation rather than client redirects, and the app keeps a simple record of entitlements in the database. Authentication uses email codes, and you can return later to edit or re-export.

The product is intentionally modest. It does not do keyword scoring, job tailoring, or “guaranteed ATS” claims. It does not generate resumes for you; it helps you structure and format what you provide. The goal is to be a clean, dependable tool for creating a resume that reads well and exports consistently.
