KnowledgeOS is more than a simple search index. It is all of your online work, interconnected, and contextually accessible.
The reality of work today is fragmented; people have varied habits, preferences, and ways of working that lead them to use different tools and organize data differently. People’s work habits also change over time as new technologies emerge and circumstances change. We save knowledge and information in different structures, in different systems, and with different limitations. The resulting fragmentation and difficulty accessing and managing information ultimately contributes to a sense of frustration and lack of clarity at the operational level, as well as limits our capabilities and innovation capacity.
Our data storage should be separate from the Apps we choose to use. We should not have to be forced to use a particular ecosystem or way of working for the rest of our lives simply because our historical data is held hostage. KnowledgeOS empowers us to each own our data regardless of Apps or tooling we choose to work through. The goal is to separate data access and storage from interface and interaction, ultimately freeing us to do as we please with our data. This is a radically different model to how the internet works today, but one that we believe is the right way forward.
KnowledgeOS contextually and unintrusively presents everything that's relevant to a file, message, contact or other digital data (versions and related files, notes, messages, emails, etc). In this way, individuals can easily access the process, reasoning, and best practices behind and around each component of their work.
KnowledgeOS classifies and builds associations across all of your work in order to empower you to work how you think, regardless of the source of the information.
Easily organize and manage knowledge across tools and teams.
Find and access relevant information by association and with personalized search results based on your workflow,
Share and leverage institutional knowledge, empower asynchronous work, and avoid rework.
KnowledgeOS helps you easily access all the history related to a particular website, article, file, etc. By opening "Navigator" over any webpage, you can easily access, search, and navigate all the Knowledge related to whatever you are looking at. Similarly, you can also access all of the Knowledge related to a particular contact, regardless of where the information related to that contact resides.
Comments and Reviews
It's intuitive, feature rich, and respectful of privacy, but it would be better if it were open source, or at least open core. In addition, in the free plan it limits the possibility of multi-device synchronization, and it does not allow exporting the information either.
