Kino is good so far as capturing of Video is concern, after that the editing needs bit of getting used to it. If you ever used any Non-linear video editing software you'll be bit out of place with its unconventional interface. But its a powerful editing suite, and simple cut, paste, transitions, adding text etc is quite easily achievable. One complaint though is, it first converts imported mpeg files to avi before editing, that file is become huge and is a pain to work with. It can export Mpeg-I and Mpeg-2 file and make VCD or DVD. A positive point is that quality of exported or the finished product is quite good.
