What is Kawaii Codec Pack?

KCP is a codec pack that contains the latest DirectShow components, utilized to decode an array of media types. KCP was created with a focus Hi10P content playback and quality. Primarily, KCP exists as an alternative to following a Hi10P/codec setup guide. KCP serves as a tool which automates the process of installing the latest codecs and applying the settings needed for them to work harmoniously.

However, KCP goes beyond this scope by giving the end-user the choice of the following features/components:

A simple settings application that allows you to modify the configuration of all installed components

The ability to choose a configuration preset for madVR that best matches your PCs potential

(Optional) Ability to install ReClock

(Optional) Ability to alternatively use ReClock for Bit-Perfect Audio output

The components utilized in a default install of KCP result in higher image quality at a minimal cost in performance (YMMV based on your existing hardware).
