What is JoyCheck?

JoyCheck is a free, browser-based diagnostic suite for game controllers. It reads input directly from a connected controller through the browser's Gamepad API, so a full test runs without installing software or creating an account.

The suite covers the faults that actually break controllers:

  • Gamepad Tester - live view of every button, stick, trigger and D-pad input
  • Stick Drift Test - measures unwanted stick movement while the sticks are untouched
  • Deadzone Tester - maps the dead zone radius on each analog stick
  • Calibration Tester - checks centring accuracy and full-range travel
  • Vibration Test - verifies both rumble motors independently
  • Polling Rate Test - measures how often the controller reports its state

It works with Xbox, PlayStation (DualSense and DualShock), Nintendo Switch Pro, Joy-Con, and most generic USB or Bluetooth HID gamepads, in any browser that supports the Gamepad API.

Controller input is read and processed in the browser; test data is not uploaded. The site is available in English, Arabic, German, Spanish, French, Portuguese and Turkish.
