"This repository is no longer actively maintained. The code remains available for anyone who wishes to study it, fork it, or build upon it. Issues and pull requests will not be reviewed. While no longer maintained, the project reached a near feature-complete state during its active development phase, with most of the remaining work being polish. It may still serve as a useful foundation for future window manager development."

What is Japokwm?

A dynamic tiling Wayland compositor (forked from dwl) that makes it a breeze to create custom layouts with a simple configuration. 🚀

You determine where the windows should go, and Japokwm handles the rest, allowing you to sit back, relax, and enjoy the view. 🌟

Features:

  • Gaps!
  • Damage Tracking
  • Layout specific configs
  • A client to control the window manager from the terminal - japokmsg, based on swaymsg
  • A dwm-based tagging system instead of normal (boring) tags
  • Create any layout you want with a 3-dimensional Array
