Isobuster Alternatives

Isobuster is described as 'Low cost utility to recover data from damaged, scratched, or otherwise defective discs. Highly specialized but still easy to use to read damaged CDs, DVDs, Blu-Ray or HD-DVD media. Free version has some limited functionality but is worth it to attempt data recovery' and is an app in the Security & Privacy category. There are nine alternatives to Isobuster for a variety of platforms, including Windows, Linux, BSD, Solaris and FreeBSD. The best alternative is UltraISO. It's not free, so if you're looking for a free alternative, you could try Iso Master or xorriso. Other great apps like Isobuster are CDCheck (Free Personal), CDRoller (Paid), Recover Disc (Paid) and Recovery Toolbox for CD (Free).

    1. CD image files are easily created with UltraISO. Duplicate discs to a CD image, create bootable CDs and audio CD images - and UltraISO also handles DVD image files. If you need to know how to make a CD image or need to edit an ISO image file, UltraISO is the tool you need.
      UltraISO vs Isobuster opinions
This alternative is disputed. UltraISO is still a legitimate alternative to Isobuster, but it might have issues that some users think are important.
UltraISO exclusively works on disc images and their contents. Its operation is only guaranteed when the health of the disc image is ensured. ISOBuster, on the other hand, is designed to work physical media when health of those media are definitely compromised.

CDCheck can check each of your CDs and DVDs and indicate which files are corrupted. It also provides a comparison option that lets you select a reference directory and compare the files on disk (or other media) with files on the CD or vice versa.

xorriso itself is entirely controlled by text commands. In dialog mode, xorriso reads them as text lines from standard input. Together with some helpful xorriso commands,it is quite easy for frontend programs to operate a separate xorriso process.
