Invention Village is an AI patent tool for R&D teams. Screen a product for patent risk in your target markets before launch, then turn your real R&D into a complete first-draft patent application for a patent attorney to review. Not legal advice.
Do I need a freedom-to-operate search before launching?
If you are about to sell in a new market, it is worth screening first, while there is still time to change the design or take advice. Describe your product and pick the markets; Invention Village searches for relevant patents in those jurisdictions, lays out feature-by-feature evidence, and compiles a list of questions for your patent attorney. It is a screen, not a formal FTO opinion.
Can AI draft a patent application from my invention notes?
Yes, as a first draft. Paste or upload your disclosure and choose the office (GB, CN, US or EP). You get claims, description, drawing descriptions and abstract in one pass, plus a machine-check report listing what still needs human verification. Where your notes do not support a detail, such as a parameter value or a test result, it is left as a marked placeholder. Experimental data is never invented.
Are the cited patents real?
Patent numbers come from real search results; any number that does not appear in them is redacted rather than shown. The searchable library holds about 51 million real patents (Chinese invention and utility-model patents plus US patents).
Does this replace a patent attorney?
No. The output is a first draft and research material for a registered patent attorney to review.
How much does it cost?
Credit-based. 25 free credits on sign-up (one-off), then credit packs from $12 or plans from $9.90/month.
