What is Insulo.app?
Insulo.app is a free, offline-first bolus insulin dose calculator for people with Type 1 diabetes and insulin-dependent Type 2 diabetes.
Calculates two components of a bolus dose:
- Meal dose = Carbohydrates (g) ÷ ICR
- Correction dose = (Current glucose - Target glucose) ÷ ISF
Key features:
- Works completely offline after first load (PWA, service worker)
- No account or registration required
- All data stays locally on the device; nothing is sent to servers
- Supports both mmol/L and mg/dL with one-tap toggle
- Carb presets for frequent meals
- Saves the last 20 calculations locally, with copy and share
