What is Inspectlet?
Inspectlet is a tool for recording live videos of site visitors, capturing mouse movements, scrolls, clicks, and keypresses to provide a comprehensive view of user behavior. It offers features such as visitor heatmaps, real-time web analytics, and custom metrics for understanding user navigation.
A key feature is session recording, which observes individual visitor behavior. It also provides advanced filtering to watch specific visitor groups, such as new visitors who made a purchase via AdWords.
The funnel analysis tool shows recordings of visitors who added items to their cart but didn't checkout, identifying potential conversion losses. Conversion funnels track visitors who drop off at any stage towards a goal. Inspectlet's JavaScript tagging API tags sessions and users with metadata for future reference and filtering.
The software requires no additional integration and is compatible with modern web applications, single-page web apps, AJAX, dynamic DOM manipulation, cookies and login/authentication, and HTTPS/SSL. It offers heatmap visualization, including eye-tracking heatmaps, click heatmaps, and scroll heatmaps.
