It's really amazing to measure the real mouse dpi completely browser-based.

Super smart! Browser-based hardware-level mouse event tracking.

Thanks!

What is inputprobe?

inputprobe is a set of free browser-based testers for mice and keyboards: DPI measurement, polling rate, button bounce / double-click detection, key rollover, and an eDPI calculator.

What makes it different: most online testers count one mouse movement per drawn frame, which measures the monitor's refresh rate rather than the mouse — a 1000 Hz mouse reads as 60 on a 60 Hz display. inputprobe reads the individual device reports with their own timestamps. Each tool publishes the accuracy band it was measured to have (from repeated runs on real hardware), and refuses to print a number when the capture can't support one, stating the reason instead.

No accounts, no uploads — every measurement runs entirely in the browser and nothing leaves your machine. The full methodology, including what has and hasn't been validated against hardware, is published at inputprobe.com/methodology/.
