IncidentScribe information
What is IncidentScribe?
IncidentScribe is a Mac-native, on-device postmortem drafter for SREs and on-call engineers. Drop in your incident artefacts - a Slack export, a PagerDuty incident dump, or a raw log file - and IncidentScribe extracts a structured timeline of events, then drafts a five-section postmortem: Summary, Timeline, Root Cause, Contributing Factors, and Action Items.
Everything runs locally on Apple's on-device Foundation Models. No cloud, no telemetry, no third-party SDKs, no remote logging. The macOS App Sandbox enforces the on-device claim mechanically - incident data never leaves your Mac. That makes it usable by the buyers cloud incident-AI tools can't reach: SREs at banks, healthcare orgs under HIPAA posture, defence contractors, and any company with a standing ban on pasting incident data into ChatGPT or other cloud LLMs.
Every drafted claim is two clicks from its source: each claim cites the timeline events that support it, and every event cites the original source line it was extracted from. Fabricated participants and timestamps are dropped during validation before they ever reach the timeline, so the draft is anchored to what the artefacts actually say. Edit, sign off, and export to Markdown or PDF.
IncidentScribe is distributed exclusively through the Mac App Store. It requires macOS 26 or later, Apple Silicon, and Apple Intelligence enabled.
