What is Image Comparison & Analysis Tool?
The Image Comparison & Analysis Tool, commonly referred to as ICAT, is a software utility designed to facilitate rapid and efficient image quality comparisons. ICAT eliminates the need to utilize professional editing software for video and image comparisons by providing a more streamlined approach. Users can import up to four videos or images simultaneously into ICAT and perform a variety of functions such as alignment, trimming, loop creation, panning, zooming into areas of interest, and adjusting video playback speed to achieve the desired comparison. ICAT supports JPEG, PNG, and WEBP image formats, as well as MP4 and WEBM video formats.
ICAT comes equipped with two distinctive features: Split Screen Mode and Single Screen Mode. In Split Screen Mode, users can load up to four screenshots or videos for synchronized, side-by-side viewing or playback. Each screenshot or video is evenly distributed across the ICAT window, with the ability to zoom and pan into specific areas. On the other hand, Single Screen Mode allows users to load up to two screenshots or videos that overlay one another. A slider is provided to reveal or conceal each stream, enabling swift and straightforward A/B comparisons. This mode also offers the capability to zoom and pan into designated areas.
