What is GNU IceCat?
Gnuzilla is the GNU version of the Mozilla suite, and GNU IceCat is the GNU version of the Mozilla Firefox browser. Its main advantage is an ethical one: it is entirely free software. While the principal source code from the Mozilla project is free software, the distribution contains various problematic files, the EULA they require for use of their binaries is troublesome, and they distribute and recommend non-free software as plug-ins. In addition, GNU IceCat includes some privacy protection features, included in a separate addon.

Comments and Reviews
A lighter fork of Firefox, works great on low-end android devices
It blocks its own Add-on Site link as insecure. Need I say more?
Firefox minus Firefox, and uses LibreJS to block non-Free JS.
For me it's overkill, and I'd only recommend IceCat if you're really serious about using only free-as-in-libre software.
Even then, I'd suggest
LibreWolf , which has similar goals but is more up to date in capabilities and appears to be better maintained. And if you still want to block non-Free JavaScript, you can install
GNU LibreJS on there.
Not discontinued
I really like(d) it! Is it permanently discontinued??? because I have used it recently & it seemed to work very well still. The web page, link & download also still seems to be working fine, but I temporarily (I hope) stopped using it when I heard it was not being updated for now. Is there a chance of it's return? I love the Gnu Cat privacy features as well (such as Libre JS, Https everywhere, & fingerprinting protection. (The name Ice Cat is cute too)... crossing my fingers that it retain it's goodness while becoming active again...
It is a web browser with freedom and without surveillance!
Good browser but cannot save passwords!!!
