Windows are arranged in columns on an infinite strip going to the right. Opening a new window never causes existing windows to resize.
Niri's config file is easy to configure and well documented. The combination with DankMaterialShell is excellent. The arrangement of windows on top of an infinite screen is awesome. The overview function is really nice.

Sway is a Tiling Wayland Compositor and a drop-in replacement for the i3 window manager for X11. It works with your existing i3 configuration and supports most of i3's features, plus a few extras.
Much less fine tuned by default. You will feel harder if you use a third-party configuration tool like Home Manager that doesn't provide tutorial code comments. There's more support for attached apps, though.
